The 5C Pump Challenge
We all love some stupid climbing games, right? Here's a new one we've been enjoying to help improve our endurance.
Pick an easy route
Any route will do as long as it's well within your onsight range. Longer routes are preferred. The idea is not to climb hard, the idea is to climb long.
Time to go up, as fast as you can! Efficiency is not important. Climb filthy if you like. We're trying to superpumped after all.
Climb it again
Do a fast lowering, then climb it again immediately. No resting. No shaking out. Just keep climbing.
Feel the burn
When you're getting very pumped, try keep climbing as long as you can. You can climb longer than you think, even if your forearms are on fire. Keep climbing until you literally fall off the route.
Massage your sore forearms, grab a protein shake, go to bed on time.
